Artist of multi-discipline born in Montréal, Claudette Bussières Tessier began oil painting in 1973..
Through different workshops she experienced other mediums as charcoal, acrylic, pastel, clay and finally stone. For many years, pastel medium (birds, landscaping and others) and mostly live models portraits will define her artistic tendancy.
Since a few years, stone sculpting governs her creation. Starting with a rough stone, her goal is to create an art piece which she hopes will touch the art lover. Stone sculpting brings her to be in symbiosis with the earth. She finds her inspiration in the nature, the human evolution , mainly in true life situations.
Claudette Bussières Tessier is presently treasurer for the Association of stone sculptor of Monteregie and also member of other Associations. Each year, she gets involved in different exibitions in Montreal and in Monteregie and she is also present in art galleries.
Artist of profound feelings, the progress of human being
and the world events will surely inspire her creativity.
